Students in Mrs. Penfield's class have been learning all about Space in their current reading unit. They most recently read about the Space Race and the Apollo 11 mission. After exploring people's different points of view in the book "Moonshot", students created a tableau (silent "living picture") for one of the events from the mission.

Results From Last Week:
The Junior High Boys Basketball team picked up a couple of wins in McLaughlin on Tuesday, then hosted Baker on Friday and split the two games, finishing 1–1.
The High School Girls Basketball team played earlier in the week, earning wins over McLaughlin at both the JV and varsity levels. On Saturday, the Cowgirls defeated Herreid Selby JV, but fell in varsity action.
The High School Boys Basketball team traveled to Glen Ullin on Tuesday, where the JV won a three-quarter matchup, and the varsity came up short. On Saturday, during doubleheader action, the JV boys picked up a win, while the varsity fell short.
The High School Wrestling team hosted the Lemmon Mixer on Tuesday, welcoming over 130 wrestlers. Quinn Butler surpassed the 200-career-win milestone, and the entire squad wrestled tough. A huge thank you goes out to the community, event staff, and parents for helping make the event run smoothly, and to Jack Anderson for his behind-the-scenes work contributing to the event’s success.
On Friday The Lemmon Boys competed in duals at Warner, finishing the night 2–1. They picked up wins over Warner–Northwestern and Ipswich/Leola, and suffered a loss to Aberdeen Central JV.
The Lemmon Cowgirls wrestled in Aberdeen and placed third as a team, finishing behind Aberdeen Central and Pierre.
Lemmon crowned two champions: Lainee Gebhart and Quinn Butler.
Sam Drieske earned a second-place finish.
Darla Barnes and Natalie Drieske both placed third, while Reva Barnes finished fourth.
Briley Gebhart, Kacee Welsh, and Payton Olson each placed fifth.
Quinn Butler was also named the Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament.

Kaden Kvale, Kaleb Ellingson, Max Anderson, and Retro Benson each placed third.
Kyle Gebhart finished in fourth place.


The Lemmon School District would like to honor our military personnel at today's Double Header Basketball game vs Herreid/Selby. All past and present military personnel will receive FREE adminssion to the game and Student Council will provide them with FREE popcorn. Basketball begins at 1:00 pm.
