SDSU is sponsoring a Natural Resources summer program from July 21-25 @ Oak Lake Field Station near Astoria SD. Cost is $300 and financial aid is available. Possible activities include: Bird Identification, Lake Ecology, Pollinator Diversity, Camera Trapping, Archery, Radio Telemetry, Small Mammel Trapping, Reptile Trapping & Ecology & Careers in Natural Resources. Registration is due by May 31, 2025.

Attention Cowboy and Cowgirl Fans! Join us for a short pep rally and recognition event this Thursday at 1:15 PM as we celebrate our Wrestlers, Boys Basketball, and Girls Basketball teams before sending our girls off to Philip. Everyone is welcome to stop by and show their support! Doors 3 and 4 will be open for public access starting at 1:05 PM.

Region 8B Boys Basketball games to be held in Lemmon tonight, Tuesday, March 4. Harding County vs McLaughlin @ 5:30 and Lemmon vs Takini to follow. Admission Fee: Adults-$6.00; Students-$4.00 Tonight's games will be broadcast on HUDL at https://fan.hudl.com/usa/sd/lemmon/organization/80905/lemmon-high-school or listen to the game on KBJM 1400.

The Lemmon Elementary School will be hosting a "Breakfast with a Bestie" on Thursday, March 6 (K-2) and Thursday, March 13 (3-5) from 7:30-8:30 AM. Please RSVP by the Tuesday before the day you plan to attend!

Congratulations to our four local winners —Burke Ham, Tymber Benson, Hadlee Bieber, and Shelby Penfield—who competed yesterday in Chamberlain at the State Level of the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship! This year’s Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition saw its largest turnout at the local level (over 3,000 participants), with 180 advancing to the state level. Yesterday at the State Level, Burke Ham claimed first place in his division, and Shelby Penfield finished third. Congrats Crew!! Well Done!!

State Wrestling is in the Books! Congratulations to Gage Anderson on an impressive 3rd place finish! Thank you for all you have done for this program—we appreciate your dedication and hard work. Best of luck as you continue your wrestling career at NSU. Go Wolves! Congratulations to Quinn Butler on an outstanding 2nd place finish! Your only two losses this season came against state champions, and we couldn’t be more proud. We’re excited to have you back next year! A huge thank you to our coaches for everything you do! We couldn’t be prouder of you and our Cowboy and Cowgirl wrestlers!

State Wrestling Update The final stage is set! Wrestling kicks off at 10:00 AM. To open the event, Keira and Natise will perform the National Anthem. The 10:00 AM session will feature the placement rounds (3rd–8th place). Gage will wrestle his final match in Cowboy Blue, competing for a 3rd place medal. The Championships begin at 1:00 PM. State Wrestling – Day 2 Friday Session 1 Update: • Round 1 Consolation matches are complete. • Round 2 Consolation matches are about to begin, featuring Laniee, Sam, and Gage. Friday Session 2 kicks off at 3:30 PM, including the Semifinals and Round 3 Consolation matches. (this will feature Quinn and any of our winners from Round 2)

BOOM! We’re headed back to the SoDak! The Cowgirls take down the Mustangs with a 41-34 victory! SoDak games are set for next Thursday, March 6th—time and location TBD. Stay tuned for updates!
