The LHS Street Law spring class had the opportunity to attend court in Perkins County. After court, the students were able to visit with State’s Attorney, Shane Penfield, Judge Comer, Sheriff Serr and deputies from the Perkins County Sheriff’s Office, among others.
Their visit was followed up the next day by having State’s Attorney Penfield attend class to recap what happened in court.
It was a great experience for our students!

The weather for Thursday April 17 looks horrible for track and golf so we have made some changes to our schedules:
For track we will not be going to Belle Fourche or Mobridge on Thursday, but will be attending a meet tomorrow Tuesday April 15 in Bowman starting at 2:00. That will be our only meet for this week.
Golf on Thursday as of right now is a go in Rapid City for Thursday, but we are currently talking about possible other dates. We will keep you posted if things change on this meet.
Thanks for your understanding as we deal with these weather issues.

Here are Lemmon's events for the week of April 14-19.

On Wednesday, April 10, some of the senior government class went to Bismarck to see the North Dakota Capitol. While there, students were able to…
…take a tour of the Capitol.
…attend committee meetings.
…have lunch provided by Representatives Karen Vollmer and Dawson Holle and Senator Don Schaible on the 18th floor of the Capitol.
…listen to a presentation by the ND Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and meet ATF Trained K9 Officer Lee who specializes in accelerant detection. He can sense trace amounts of ignitable liquids for crimes like arson.
…witness both House and Senate general sessions. Two students were able to sit on the House floor and help with voting on several bills.
…have a photo taken with Lt. Governor Michelle Strinden in the morning. Then in the afternoon, visit with Governor Kelly Armstrong in his office.
North Dakota rolled out the red carpet for our students! We are grateful for living where we do. It is a privilege to be able to walk into the governor’s office and visit with him; not many kids across our country are afforded this type of opportunity. Thanks to all who made it possible!!

Thanks a “HOLE” bunch to Mike & Shelly Lyon and Rand Bentley for taking the time to let Mrs. Anderson’s 7th grade PE class come out to the Lemmon Golf Course and for teaching them the basics of golf.
