Lemmon FFA donated some fleece blankets to the Five County Nursing Home in honor of National FFA Week!


The region tournament is always a roller coaster of emotions. While some athletes are punching their ticket to the state tournament, other's seasons come to an end. Our team fought hard and represented themselves and Lemmon High School well. Five Cowboys and Cowgirls qualified for the state tournament and those that didn't qualify put out the kind of effort that they can look back at and be proud of.

The LHS FFA will be having a chicken drop fundraiser at tonight's (Feb 22) boys basketball game. All proceeds will be donated to Jennifer Kvale to help with her medical expenses.

Passions & Professions had a chance to field trip to Dacotah Bank today, where they learned about the many roles that make up the banking world!
They also had the chance to enjoy a little friendly competition, playing an “Insurance Matching Game,” and were gifted Lemmon Cowboys/Cowgirls sports bags!

Everyone is welcome to the 3rd Annual LHS Trap Team/Sons of the American Legion Free Will Taco Supper tonight, February 21 at the American Legion Club. All funds will go towards the 2025 Trap Shooting season.

The LHS Psychology class has been studying the anatomy of the brain. During this unit, they participated in ‘Brain Break’ activities that help with brain stimulation. Some of the activities included, but are not limited to, the following:
>reading about Alzheimer’s
>practicing yoga poses
>completing Wordle puzzles
>completing simple puzzles with mirror goggles
>learning about the Stroop effect

Wednesday's FFA emblem winners for National FFA Week!




The Lemmon School District will once again be starting school 2 hours late tomorrow, Thursday, Feb 20 due to the cold temperatures and windchill. No breakfast will be served. Doors will be open at 9:30. We would like to thank our families for their understanding and cooperation in the last couple of weeks with the late starts and school cancellations as we continue to try to keep our student’s safety in mind.

8th Grade students were “in the trenches” as they created WWI Trench Warfare devices for a class project. They prepared a military briefing for their peers and then used their device to cross “No Man’s Land.”
