The 5th grade class has been reading the book "The Phantom Tollbooth" by Jules Feiffer, originally written in 1961. The vocabulary and figurative language can be a bit challenging at times, so they did a cinnamon roll word activity to work on synonyms and vocabulary.

Recap From Last Week High School Wrestling HS wrestling practice is underway.
Junior High Girls Basketball Tuesday: The girls played in a triangular event in Lemmon, defeating Bison and falling to Timber Lake. Friday: The girls hosted Baker for three games. Baker defeated the Cowgirls in all three matchups.
Junior High Wrestling – Sturgis Meet (Friday) Earl: 3–0 Retro: 3–0 Kloey: 1–1 Anne: 1–1 Logan: 1–2
Oral Interp It was a busy and successful week for our Oral Interp team. Tuesday: At the Region Oral Interp event, Max, Will, and Eli all qualified for the state competition. Thursday: The team hosted a community performance at the Palace Theater. It was a packed house, and the entire group delivered amazing performances. Thank you for all that made this event a reality.

To wrap up their work with Percentages and Proportions, 7th grade Math students calculated their percent of error after guessing the weights and number of seeds in pumpkins. Congrats to Alex for a weight guess within .06%! Thanks to the Pazie family for the pumpkins!

Congrats to our guy! The SDFBCA has selected Mr. Eli Peterson to the 9A All-State Team. Eli is now a two-time All-State athlete for the Cowboys.

Junior High Girls Basketball (JHGB) plays on Tuesday, hosting both Timber Lake and Faith in the Armory. Please use Doors 3 and 4. Games start at 3:30 PM and will follow a rolling schedule.
Recap of Last Week High School Volleyball (HSVB) Fell to Bennett County in the SoDak in three sets. Congratulations on a successful season! Final record: 28–6, which is the new season record holder for Lemmon.
