Kate Schiley is your 2025 South Dakota State Champion in Girls’ Cutting! She is National Finals Bound! Kate also earned 44th place in Pole Bending. Lainee Gebhart placed 40th in Barrel Racing and 64th in Pole Bending Riley Glines placed 44th in Breakaway, 37th in Goat Tying, and 39th in Pole Bending Congratulations, girls! We’re proud of your hard work and dedication. Lemmon FFA members had a successful few days at Rangeland and Soil Days in Belle Fourche: • The FFA soil team-Riley, Sutton, Kyle, and Briley earned 1st place, with Riley placing 1st individually and Sutton 5th. • Katelyn and Darla took 1st and 2nd place in the Go-Getters Range Division. • Brooks earned 2nd place in the Scout Range Division. • Katelyn was also honored with the Top Hand Award. Katelyn was chosen to represent South Dakota at the Society for Range Management’s Annual Meeting in Monterey, California, where she will present her speech on prescribed burns in a national competition this February. Well Done Crew! #GoBlue

Summer doesn't slow down, Today, 15 of our students are competing in Aberdeen at the State Trap Shooting event. They hit the range at 10:30 AM CT, best of luck to all our shooters! Also, Mr. Blair Ham will get to strap on the pads one more time as he represents the Cowboys in the SDFBCA All-Star Game in Brookings. Blair will suit up for the Red Team, with kickoff at 11:00 AM CT. Mrs Katus's 5th Grade visited the Nursing Home the last week of school . The students read books to the residents, talked about their year in 5th grade, and had a snack with them. The students enjoyed every minute and the residents did also. 

We would like to thank all of our coaching staff for their dedication to our students. This year we celebrate those staff members who have over 5 years of coaching for the Lemmon School District!

Lemmon Summer Workouts Are Back! Starting June 9th, we’re kicking off another great summer of training with two sessions on the days listed: 🕖 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM 🕗 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM All students entering 6th–12th grade are welcome to join! Workouts will take place primarily in the gym, with some time also spent in the weight room and track complex. Day 1 Location: Armory We’re pumped to get started—see you next week!
